Campaign Co-Chairs

Hilltop is excited to announce that alumni parents Virginia Anderson and Bill Donnelly have graciously agreed to serve as honorary co-chairs of our fundraising campaign. Their experience, visibility and knowledge of the Seattle community will serve as vital assets for Hilltop as we reach out for support to current and past families, and to the philanthropic community.

Recently named President of SAFECO Insurance Company’s corporate foundation, Virginia has been a fixture in Seattle’s arts and cultural scene for years. As director of the Seattle Center for 18 years, she oversaw more than $700 million in public and private investment in the City’s 74-acre cultural campus, including the renovation of the International Fountain and McCaw Hall. Virginia is a passionate force behind the Siri Mayo Scholarship Fund, which is a key strategy in achieving Hilltop’s goal to reach and serve a greater diversity of Seattle’s children. Virginia’s daughter, Maile, attended Hilltop from 1999 to 2001 and is now a shining star in the fifth grade at John Hay Elementary.

Bill Donnelly is a senior director, consultant and wealth manager with Smith Barney, widely recognized for his early leadership in the field of socially responsible investing. Bill is a strong supporter of the environment, early education and non-proliferation of weapons of mass-destruction. He is a champion of Hilltop’s community approach to learning, which is built around the relationships among children, families, and teachers. Bill’s daughter, Mackenzie, also attended Hilltop from 1999 to 2001. Now a fifth grader at the Bush School, Mac remains close with her Hilltop friends.
